    SDI Filtration Analysis Steps

    1. Set up filtration apparatus and connect to sample line and flush


    2. Put filter paper in position and ensure flange in well bolted
    3. Open valve to run water through the SDI equipment outlet and record time
    (t1) taken to collect 500ml of water
    4. Allow water to collect in a 20L jerry can and record the volume (V)of water
    collected in 15 minutes as V
    5. Now record the time (t2) taken to collect another 500ml of water
    6. Compute SDI using the SWF excel file
