2 inch 3-ring binder

Wired spiral notebook
Haskell Planner
Pencils and colored ink pens
Colored pencils
Highlighters
2 glue sticks

Technology

Technology will be integrated into

collaborative lessons daily. Students
will need to interact with one another
so online access at home/outside of
school is key. Edmodo, Google,
Thinklink, and Padlet are a few of the
online programs that will be used.
Access to a fully charged smart device
with web browsing ability is highly
recommended.

Behavior
Students are expected to be on time
ready to work. For maximum learning
to take place, class rules must be
followed and respected. All students
must be considerate of their teacher
and fellow students.

Attendance

Student attendance is absolutely

necessary for your childs success in
World History. Work must be turned in
on time. Late work will be penalized.
Absent students are responsible for
all missed work and must label
assignments accordingly.

Interactive Notebook
Students must bring their history
interactive notebook every day to
class. Notebooks will be graded
quarterly and become part of the
students grade. Tests and quizzes
will be taken from lectures and notes
from the notebook.

Grading
Grades are based on
individual and group
projects/assignments,
classwork, quizzes,
tests, homework, and
class participation. Each
assignment will have a
specific point value.
Informal assignments
like homework and
quizzes will have far less
point value than exams.

Flipped
Classroom
This model will require students to
Model videos outside of
view instructional
class. This method allows our class
time to be spent working with peers
and their teacher for understanding
and enrichment. Not watching videos
quickly leads to a student falling
behind and struggling in the class.

Support

After school homework support will

be available Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday in the library.

Homework/Tests

Students must bring required

materials daily.
Homework will be checked
regularly.
Weekly use of Edmodo, Google and
other computer-based programs
will be mandatory.
Students will be assessed
frequently. Assessments will be
both informal and formal.
