Ambani Founder & Chairperson September 12, 2015 am happy to share with you the improvements in our school's infrastructure and facilities, the enhancements in the safety and security measures, the extraordinary results of our ICSE, IGCSE and IB Diploma students in the board examinations of 2015, and the fabulous university placements that our graduating Class of 2015 has achieved. At Dhirubhai Ambani International School, we believe in fostering a learning environment that supports children’s holistic development, and one that encourages them to reach their full potential. We ardently believe that quality educational programmes, supported with world-class facilities and resources, go a long way in optimizing children’s learning. As part of our continuous drive for improvement, we initiated a major infrastructure and facilities enhancement project during the summer of 2015, which included the construction of the Centre for Performing Arts, renovation of kitchen areas, and laying Astroturf on the sports field. These facilities will enable children to identify and develop their innate talents, as well as support the delivery of our educational programmes for their holistic development. It is our constant quest for excellence that enables us to deliver our best performance and set new benchmarks year after year, whether itis in academics, co-curriculars or sports. DAIS has been ranked the No. 1 International Day School in India for three consecutive years by Education World (2013, 2014 and 2015). This multipurpose space is primarily intended to facilitate and support the development and delivery of the Performing Arts Programme in the school. It can seat up to 100, and will also serve as a suitable venue for various curricular, cross-curricular and co-curricular programmes, as well as for workshops and seminars, both for students and teachers, Sports Field and Indoor Sports Area The school's sports field, which is shared by DAIS and the American School of Bombay, is being developed as a world-class football field with AstroTurf - it is scheduled to be completed this month. The open indoor space on the fourth level, above the Centre for Performing Arts, serves as an ideal venue for conducting sporting activities in smaller groups of about thirty children. These facilities will provide our school’s faculty with greater flexibility to conduct physical education lessons and co-curricular activities in all weather conditions, and provides opportunities for students to participate and train in sports activities DHIRUBHAI AMBANI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL ESTD. 2003, Cafeteria Facilities The kitchen on both the ground and first floors have undergone significant renovation, with an entire range of new installations including a walk-in chiller, cool air flashes for cooking stations and all-round new cooking equipment The hygiene level of the Dining Halls is further enhanced with all crockery and utensils now being washed using potable water from the RO (Reverse Osmosis) water treatment plants. Upgradation in Safety and Security Measures We have undertaken several new measures in the school to further strengthen the safety and security of the children. A total of 85 CCTV cameras have been installed within the school campus, to ensure that all open areas and locations can be constantly monitored. We have installed an all-round intruder detection system, the glass facades of the schoo! building are now covered with blast-resistant films, and bollards will be installed shortly at both access gates of the School ‘The School gates have been redesigned to have a 'man-trap, which ensures that only authorized per- sonnel gain entry into the school premises, upon clearing the new state-of-the-art visitor management system, baggage scanners and full-length turnstiles.
