Marrow, Ginger, Pear Jam

1Kg marrow
1Kg Sugar (Jam or Caster)
Juice of 1 lemon
5 Pears
1 Cooking Apple
3 Ginger

Peel marrow and grate


Peel Pears and apple then chop small
Grate Ginger fine
Place all ingredients in jam pan or large stock pan.
Bring to boil and then simmer until thick.
Bottle in pre-sterilized jars - should make about 5 aveage sized jam jars
