Its Homework.
Scholars need to read 100 minutes a week (The reading time will
increase as the year progresses).
For each log entry, scholars need to write 3 complete sentences
summarizing what they read.
Reading logs are sent home on Friday and then due by the next
Friday.
Please monitor your scholars book making sure he/she is reading a
book that is on your childs level.

Greek Studies
The World Language Essential Standards and the
American Council for the Teaching of Foreign
Language have developed a comprehensive set of
language skills to be used for effective
communication. These skills are based on
Communication, Culture, Connections, Comparisons,
and Communities.
As a Partial Immersion program, math is delivered
in Greek and in English.

K-5 uses the Margarita books which are based on the same
standards mentioned above.
6-8 used the KLIK sta Ellinika books published from the
Ellinomatheia foundation.
Studetns have the opportunity to earn up to 3 high school credits
by successful completion of 6-8 grade Greek classes.
As a Partial Immersion program, math is delivered in Greek and in
English. Math in Greek teachers follow the NC Common Core Math
Standards, but the material is delivered in the Greek Language.
