Behavior Expectations Agenda Books

Harford Hills has school wide
behavior expectations that are used in
our classroom as well. The
expectations are: Be respectful. Be
responsible. Be ready to learn. At the
beginning of the year we learn the
rules and what they mean. The
students are expected to follow the
rules throughout the day. If any
problems arise with a childs behavior,
it will be noted in the agenda book.

Please check your childs

agenda book daily to ensure that
they are completing their assigned
homework. Feel free to write
comments or send notes to school
with your student using the agenda
book. Any communication from the
teacher regarding behavior or
academic concerns will be noted in
the agenda book. Communication
between home and school is
essential for creating a positive
learning environment.

Lunch

Take Home Folders

Each student will have a Take
Home Folder. This folder will be divided
into two sides. An L will be written on the
left side of the folder. The L stands for
leave at home. Anything placed in this
side of the folder will need to be left at
home. An R will be written on the right
side of the folder. The R stands for return
to school. Anything placed on this side of
the folder will need to be signed and/or
completed and returned to school. In
the center there will be a reading log.

Star Student
A Star Student is a student
who is consistently respectful,
responsible, ready to learn and
cooperative. Each week a student
will be selected to be the Star
Student for the following week. The
Star Student will be given special
privileges in the classroom (line
leader, extra computer time, etc.).

Transportation
Please inform us of any changes in how
your student will be dismissed. We need a
written note of the change otherwise they will
be dismissed in the usual way.

Lunch costs $2.90 per day.

Forms to apply for free/reduced lunch
will be sent home. Please look over the
monthly lunch menus that are sent
home. Reviewing this ahead of time will
help your student be prepared when
choosing their lunch each day.

Specials
Please look over and
post the attached daily and
special area schedule. Make
sure that your student
wears tennis shoes on the
day he/she has P.E. and
brings all library books in on
Library day.

Supplies
Supplies will need to be replenished
throughout the year. We will send a note to let you
know what new supplies your student needs. We
request that you have your student use a book bag
without wheels. Wheeled book bags do not fit in the
lockers and can create a safety hazard.
