KENYA CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

In order to facilitate a search into the records of those applying for a Certificate of Good
Conduct, the Director of Criminal Investigations Department will require the following.
Kenya Citizens
1. The applicants complete set of rolled and plain fingerprints to be taken by a Police
Authority in Germany or in the country of residence at the time of application.
Photocopies or prints used in previous years are not acceptable.
2. The police authority taking fingerprints must confirm the identity of the applicant and
endorse official signature, stamp and seal.
3. Photocopy of 2nd Generation ID card, and passport, applicants below 18years should
provide a certified copy of the birth certificate and passport.
4. A letter explaining the need for the certificate.
5. The application form for the Certificate of Good Conduct must be completed in
duplicate and returned to the Kenya Embassy along with the original set of the
fingerprints.
6. A fee of 38 for each certificate payable only by bank transfer or EC-Debit card at the
Embassy. Cash payments will not be accepted.
7. A self-addressed, stamped envelope for postage of certificate
Foreigners Residing In Kenya

Should provide a copy of the passport pages with personal details and abovementioned documents.

Processing: Applications can be made directly to the Director, include self-addressed stamped
envelope. Payment of the fee does not guarantee that Good Conduct Certificate will be issued.
Processing certificate of good conduct may take more than 3 months.
