ABSTRACT
Age of the children was a period of growth and development is very rapid. because it
is a group that is vulnerable to malnutrition. This situation affects the still high infant
mortality rate. Riskesdas (2015) nationally, the prevalence of weight-less in 2013
was 19.6 percent, comprised of 5.7 percent and 13.9 percent malnutrition
malnutrition. The number of infants who suffered malnutrition Supreme Sanggaran
Puskesmas working area continues to increase. Where in 2015 until June had
contained 33 children with the status of malnutrition. At the time of the initial survey
conducted in Puskesmas Sanggaran Court found that infants have the wrong diet that
influence body weight. Is the background of researchers examined the relationship
supplementary feeding (PMT) on the nutritional status of children malnutrition in
Puskesmas Sanggaran Court in 2015.
This type of research is observational analytical, sampled were infant malnutrition at
health center which got PMT Supreme Sanggaran numbered 33 people. Selection of
the sample with a total sampling method. Analysis of the results of research
conducted univariate and bivariate with Chi-square test.
The survey results revealed 51.5% of respondents have less nutritional status. 63.6%
of respondents received a complete PMT, 83.3% of respondents bersatus malnutrition
among children under five who got PMT incomplete. This study concluded There is
a significant relationship between supplementary feeding (PMT) with the nutritional
status of children where the obtained value of p = 0.016 (p value <0.05).
Through health officials suggested should be able to maintain and boost the activities
related to the nutritional status of children and programs PMT as counseling to
parents under five every week when taking PMT and during the Posyandu about
eating right, how materials processing PMT and food for toddlers according to age.
