I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth
to my role as an educational leader in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the
children and teachers I work with. I believe in professionalism, hard work and promoting a safe learning
environment where all students can take risks in learning. I believe in having a positive attitude and taking
responsibility for my actions.

I believe in building the self-confidence of each student. I believe that every student can learn and that with
guidance and support they can become responsible citizens. I believe that support from home is critical to
learning and that together the school educational team and the parents shape a child.
I believe that I am morally obligated to have the highest of expectations for each and every one of my
students and staff. With dedication, perseverance and hard work, students and staff will rise to the occasion.
I will encourage each of them to be lifelong learners by developing their intellectual curiosity and desire for
discovery and knowledge.

An old man walked up a shore littered with

thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a
storm. A young man was picking them up and
flipping them back into the ocean. Why do you
bother? the old man scoffed. Youre not saving
enough of them to make a difference. The young
man though about it, then picked up another starfish
and sent it spinning back into the ocean. made a
difference to that one, he said.
