150gr powder in large volume case. Somewhat sensitive to the ambient temperature. As with most

This load is almost a perfect.45 Colt factory duplication load. The basic data is straignt from
the Winchester manual. To man it will apear somewhat conservative, but in all the revolvers
250gr and leverguns Ive tried it in, it has matched the factory ballistics perfectly. Ive found this
LRN load to be very accurate and consistant when used with the Remington 250gr lead .45 Colt
factory bullet, or the Lyman 454190 bullet cast from wheel wieghts.

This load shoots great in my Single action Army colts and in my Ruger bisley I have 3rd
generation colts And this load is safe in these I use Lyman # 454190 May want to check
250gr before you shoot this load in and older vintage Colt I wouldnt shoot anything but black
LFP powder in A first generation peacemaker And have it checked out by A good smith before
that.

Trueshot cast bullets(SWC) are the closet Ive come to the keith bullet, Comercila wise. I
shot the above load out of a Ruger Redhawk that wears a 5 and 1/2 inch barrel and its
been very picky in what it liked. I started at 16 gr. over a good bag rest , the six groups I
255gr did shoot , opened and closed like a bellows.The 18gr group at 25 yards and a rather heavy
LSWC trigger prevented any group better than 2 inches. I stopped at 18.5 grs. its maybe a
prudent choice , for my Redhawk wouldnt hit the side a barn at 20-22 grains, and those
loads , trust me are very healthy pressure wise...Well Good shootin Yall....Don Hou.TX

Cases are cut down to the same length as a 44 Special and OAL is also the same as a 44
255gr Special with a similer wieght bullet. I shoot this in my Vaquero. If the cases are not cut
