Gross Motor Skills through circuits


Length of Unit: 10 weeks
Content Strand: Active Lifestyle, Games and Sports and Moving
Outcomes and Indicators:
ALES1.6 Develops a repertoire of physical activities in which they can participate.
Takes part in different types of physical activity e.g. jumping, walking, hopping,
dancing, skipping, running, kicking, catching, shooting and twisting.
GSES1.8 Demonstrates fundamental movement skills while playing with and sharing
equipment
Shows understanding of the language used in games by responding to verbal and
nonverbal directions
Participates in games where cooperation is important for success
Identifies a variety of games and play equipment
Runs, skips and hops with equipment, e.g. rope, large balls, hoops, etc.
