Together we have built this company into a world-class organization that has become an integral part of the word's economy. | thank each of you for your hard work and your commitment to excellence, |.am writing to you today because aur comany is boing threatened, Lobbyists for UPS and the Teamsters inserted a 230-word provision into 2 piace of legislation with the intent af harming FedEx Express The provision, which was approved by the House last year as part of the FAA Reauthorization Act, would crange the labor laws that have governed aur express company since its inception and make it easier for local labor disputes to disrupt ‘ur entire express delivery system. The Senate version of the legislation, curently under consideration, does not contain the UPS special interest provision. Ifthe Senate approves clean bill as we hope it wil, the House and Senate versinns wil hhave to be reconciled, ‘The change UPS is seeking could cisupt aur business model and have a dramatic impact on the way we do business.
