to drive. The boy should be in charge of the
date and have it planned out which includes
driving.

Dear Alice,

I have a friend thats really hard on drugs.

Lately she has been acting strange. She is usually
late to school and when she acutally comes her
homework isnt done. She is also disrespectful and
she refuses to listen to what anyone has to say. We
used to have a sister like bond, but now I cant even
talk to her without her getting upset or being
very paranoid. Im very worried for her and really
scared that she will hurt herself and others around
her. What can I do to help her in the long run?

-Worried Friend

Editors note: : If you would like Alices advice on a topic, give a letter to
Mrs. Carlisle. All letters must be signed, although they may appear unsigned in
the newspaper.

Dear Worried Friend,

I think your best bet to help your friend is

to find an external source who can possibly change
her mind about the drugs. Talking to the school
counselor is a good place to begin. Although she
may be angry with you at the beginning, it is your
responsibility as a friend to help her get away from
the drugs. You are her friend, and your concern
should be a factor in helping her find a light in her
situation, however, she will need professional help
to make sure she stays on the right track. Be sure
to stay by her side in this situation no matter what.
She will need all the help she can get. I think there
is a happy end to you and your friends story. Good
luck!

-Sincerely Alice
