Prokaryotes, which include all bacteria and archaea (archaebacteria), are the simplest cellular organisms.
Prokaryotic cells are fundamentally different in their internal organization from eukaryotic cells. Notably, prokaryotic
cells lack a nucleus and membranous organelles.
