Lesson 5; Solving Problems
Assessment
1). Review the 4 steps to solving a problem and act
each one of them out. Give a scenario to two
volunteers to model how to solve their problem using
the 4 steps.
2). Introduce and model how to complete the "My
Four Steps Book". Explain that this will be done
independently so students can show what they have
learned during the unit.
3). Students complete the first 2 pages of "My Four
Steps Book" as an assessment.

Animals; Birds
1). Review what animals need to survive.
2). Watch United Streaming Video on birds.
3). Review animal graph and add birds to one of the
columns. Add at least 3 facts (learned from the
video) about birds to the animal graph.
4). Complete bird journal page.

Wednesday
