We now go over to Amber who is going to talk
about musical conflict under the Music Scope.
Intro insert
AMBER

HELLO AND WELCOME TO MUSIC SCOPE, I AM

AMBER CANN AND TODAY WE ARE GOING TO
BE DISCUSSING CONFLICT BETWEEN BANDS,
AS MANY OF YOU MAY KNOW OR AT LEAST
HEARD OF THE TWO MAJOR BANDS OASIS AND
BLUR.
One of the most popular and to this day still
remember able is Oasis and Blur feud, both
much loved bands, at the height of nineties
Britpop, the rivalry kicked off mostly when
Blur decided to release there single on the
same day as Oasis. Unlike Blur, Oasis were
able to achieve sustained sales in the United
States thanks to the singles "Wonderwall" and
"Champagne Supernova"
At the peak of the 'Britpop' years, Blur and
Oasis' respective labels decided that as a
big marketing stunt they would release their
new singles on the same day. This created a
huge head to head battle between the two
bands. The resulting news coverage turned
this event into a bitter class war between
the Northern working class Oasis and the
Southern middle class Blur.
In the end Blur's "Country House" won over
Oasis' "Roll with it", though neither were
the strongest offerings from each of the
albums.
(QUESTIONS TO GUEST)

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON CONFLICT BETWEEN

ARTISTS THESE DAYS?
WHAT IS THE MOST REMEERABLE FEUD YOU CAN
REMBER
WHY DOES THAT STAND OUT TO YOU
DO YOU THINK MUSICIANS TRY TO COMPETE WITH
EACH OTHER MORE THESE DAYS
DO YOU THINK SOCIAL MEDIA HAS HAD AN IMPACT
ON THE COMPETIVITY OF BANDS?
DO YOU THINK SOCIAL MEDIA IS A BAND INFLUENCE
FOR CONFLICT?
DO YOU THINK ARTISTS FIGHT TO ENHANCE THEIR
PUBLIC IMAGE AND GAIN MEDIA ATTENTION?
We now move over to Joe Bartlett, who is
going to talk about piracy and the state of
the music industry with an interview with
Atlantic Shores

Backdrop - Piracy images, albums.

JOEY

Thank you Amber. We now move on to the topic

of music piracy. Music piracy is the copying
and distributing of copies of a piece of
music for which the composer, recording
artist, or copyright-holding record company
did not give consent. In the contemporary
legal environment, it`
is a form
of copyright infringement, which is wrong and
a crime in many countries. The late 20th and
early 21st centuries saw much controversy

about copyright piracy, regarding the ethics

of redistributing media content, how much
production and distribution companies in the
media were losing, and the very scope of what
ought to be considered "piracy.
This has become a hot subject recently due to
the slow collapse of the music industry.
Artists are speaking out on how piracy means
shortage of funding towards the biggest
creative industry in the world. From the
underground dubstep scene to the burning
flame of rock and roll, everyone is being
affected. Sean Kinney of Alice in Chains
speaks about his current views of the
industry and gives some advice to all that
want to make music in a band and become
successful.
Sean Kinney insert.

Joey

What Sean is saying is that if you want to

make music, then do it because you love it,
not because you need a source of income.
I recently got to interview Dan Tse of
Atlantic Shore. I asked him about his views
on the topic of piracy as an upcoming artist.
Interview and music video insert.
Now we go over to Vauxhall Studios where
Scarlett talks to Alice Karsten.

SCARLETT Thank you Joey.

Interview insert. New releases with Scarlett.
Joey
