approximately 6 million Jews
were killed by Adolf Hitlers Nazi
regime
Jews were imprisoned, enslaved
and murdered
Most countries stood by while the
Nazis and their accomplices
carried out the mass murder of
the Jewish people
Important because it stretches
back past parameters of the
modern era, into the medieval
age and beyond inception of antiSemitism

Six Day War


1967

Israel launches a preemptive attack on Egypt,


and Jordan and Syria join
war
This war lasted six days
and left Israel in control of
east Jerusalem, West Bank,
Gaza, Golan Heights and
Sinai
With government approval,
Jewish settlements are set
up in these areas
