Unit: Celebrate Change!
Assessment Task:
You will script and perform a play based on one
festival (not Christmas) with the theme of change. Some
ideas for festivals include:
Dia De Los Muertos
Diwali
Chinese New Year
Holi
Tanabata
Thanksgiving (American or Canadian)
Carnival (Brazil)
The play will be no more than 5-8 minutes long.
All students must work on the script. The script
should:
Focus on the idea of change and how
change happens in people.
Explore the values and traditions of the
festival you have chosen.
Include every member of the group as part
of the action.
All students must take visible part in the
performance.
Students must write a reflection to give a selfassessment and also must assess the members of the
group. THIS WILL AFFECT THE OVERALL MARK! :)
