‘The Girl Scouts of Orange County is pleased to offer you a seasonal position at Camp
Scherman Residen! Camp as Staff Supervisor. The position of Staff Supervisor is
described in detai in the attached job description. Your employment period will begin on
71712015 and is expected to end on 8/15/2015. Your pay is based on the per day rate of
$63 per day worked. This position is classified as seasonal, per day, non-exempt and is
NOT subject to the nours of work and overtime provisions of applicable state and federal
laws
Ifyou are asked to work weekend camp, and accept, you willbe paid an hourly rate of
{$9.50 for your weekend camp work. This position is classified as seasonal, hourly, non-
exempt and IS subjact to the hours of work and overtime provisions of applicable state
and federal laws,
This position is also at-will meaning that either you or the Girl Scouts can terminate the
relationship at any me with or without notice or cause. Please be advised that neither
this letter nor any other Girl Scout document should be construed, in any manner, as a
contract of employment guaranteeing employment for any period of time or under any
conditions other than at-will. GSOC reserves the right to withdraw any offer of
‘employment or change job duties based upon camp enrollment, weather or disaster.
This offer is contingent on your successful completion of our required background
screening, reference checking and DMV check
GSOC works to provide a safe work environment and we hope that you work to be safe
2s well. In the event that you are injured or become ill because of your job, you may be
entitled to Worker's Compensation benefits.
‘The Girl Scouts of Orange County will deduct from each paycheck for FICA, State
Disability Insurance, Federal and State Income Tax and any other deductions required by
law.

my employment may be terminated at any time, with or without cause, by myself or the
Girl Scouts of Orange County. I further understand that as a Seasonal employee I am not
eligible to participate in GSOC’s employee benefits plans.
‘Volunteering for GSOC Policy
‘Seasonal employees at Camp Scherman may not volunteer in GSOC volunteer roles and
‘events that are camp-related. Examples of camp-related events are: GAM, Cadette-O-
Rama, Junior Jamboree, day camps, and camp night promotions. As a Troop volunteer,
camping with your troop is acceptable. When a camp employee ends employment,
sherhe may volunteer in camp-related roles the following calendar year. Your service in
volunteer postions is greatly valued and appreciated by GSOC.
| understand and agree that in exchange for being permitted to perform volunteer
services for the Girl Scouts of Orange County (GSOC") in addition to serving as a
seasonal employee at Camp Scherman, | agree to the following:
1. Employment at Camp Scherman is completely separate from my GSOC volunteer
roles that are not camp-related.
2, Any work performed at Camp Scherman will be in an employment capacity and I will
receive pay for all such work performed while on the property
3. Any work performed for GSOC that is not camp-related is performed in a volunteer
‘capacity ands of a different nature than the work I perform at Camp Scherman.
4.1 wil not perform any volunteer services while at Camp Scherman.
