Dear Parents,
My name is Paris Keresztes and I will be your childs history teacher this year. This is my
first year teaching and I am very excited to have this opportunity! I graduated in May
from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Education in Secondary Education
(History). I am looking forward to meeting and working with you and your child this
year!
Throughout my education I have become aware of the impact teachers can have on their
students. That being said, it is my hope that this letter will be the basis for a great deal of
communication between us. We will discuss your child, what is happening in our
classroom, ways you can support your childs learning at home, and ways I can bring
their interests and hobbies into the classroom.
I am willing and open to discussing your childs progress throughout the school year! If
you have any questions, comments, or concerns throughout the year, please feel free to
contact me:
Email: paris_keresztes@yahoo.com
School Phone: 480-123-4567
Sincerely,

Miss Paris Keresztes

To the Parents/Guardians of Sally Smith:
I am Miss Keresztes, Sallys American History teacher. Sallys grade in History is in
danger of being below passing. This is primarily due to missing homework assignments.
While homework is not equal to tests and quizzes, it is still important and is taken for a
grade. Your child is missing these homework assignments:

Chapter 3 vocabulary
DBQ #4- Valley Forge essay outline
Chapter 4 vocabulary

If these assignments are not turned in they will affect his overall grade in this class.
Per the syllabus, I do not allow work that is over a week late; however, I am willing to
give Sally until October 9th to complete these missing assignments.
Sally is a bright student and consistently participates in class. If she keeps up with her
homework and continues to actively participate in class, she is sure to pass the class!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Dear Mr. Hoffland,
My name is Paris Keresztes and I am writing to express my strong interest in a Secondary
History Teacher position at McClintock High School. My Bachelor degree in Secondary
Education, experience as an intern and student teacher coupled with my enthusiasm and
dedication makes me a perfect candidate for this position. Teaching is more than a
profession to me; it is my passion.
Through my internship and student teaching experience, I developed a strong expertise in
lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment and evaluation of the kids. My
disciplinary nature has proved to be an asset since organization is the key in this
profession. I believe I am very well suitable for this position as your institute is based on
principles of discipline, commitment and perseverance.
It would be a great please to discuss this position more in detail. I would like to follow up
with you next week and see if an interview can be arranged. Thank you for your time and
consideration.
Sincerely,

Paris Keresztes
