    informationuniquetoeachstudent.

    Inclass,Ihavedemonstratedhowthisisdoneandweevenpracticeddoingadatamergeto
    createmailinglabelstogether.

    Usethesesameskillsandmethodswepracticedtocreatetheletter.

    1. YouwillcreateaspreadsheetinMicrosoftExcelthatcontainsaminimumofthefollowing
    fields:first_name,last_name,genderpronoun,subject,grade.Youmayusemorefields
    ifyoulike,butthesemustbepresent.
    2. Inthespreadsheetyouwillenterdataforatleast10imaginarystudents.
    3. InMicrosoftWord,youwillwritealettertotheparentsofyourstudents,giving
    informationaboutyourclass.Includedintheletter,youwillusethestudentsname,and
    inplaceswhereitisappropriate,youwillusethecorrectgenderpronoun.Also,
    somewhereintheletter,youwillmentionthesubjectandthestudentsgradeinthe
    class.
    4. Thelettermustbeaminimumoftwoparagraphsinlength.

    Whenyouarefinished,youwilluploadboththeExcelSpreadsheetandtheWordDocumentto
    theappropriateDropboxinPilot.

    Pleaseremembertoobservetheestablishednamingconventions.Forexample,myfileswould
    benamed:
    moore_k_student_info.xlsx
    and
    moore_k_parent_letter.docx
