Many Platforms of Technology in the Classroom
What if childs started out their day with singing and dancing One! Two! Buckle my
shoe! as part of the class lesson. Some may not realize that technology has been incorporated in
the younger children classroom setting as well. By exposing technology to student at a younger
age it opens door to an abundance of opportunity for the success of the student. Technologies in
the classroom provide many benefits not only for student but teachers as well. It increases
instructor comfort level of teaching, provides immediate feedback between instructor and student
and improving the knowledge and understanding of technology and material.
In my classroom I would use technology to enhance my teaching by incorporating
interactive online assignments which would help to facilitate and give students opportunities to
practice mastering the skill at their own pace. The enhancement of technology will allow students
to interact and engage with the content. The use of technology in my classroom would promote
organization and communication of materials which I can include in an online. The use of
technology would make me a better teacher it provide tool to aid in my professional development
while providing a platform for all levels of students to explore a vast varieties of skills, even
diverse cultures and globally.
It offers communication with parents via email of important information and dates and the
learning instruction system. Even though these are great technologies for students but there are
some pros and cons of them. Take the microphone in the music class. According to (Salvador,
2010) now microphones put less stress on the voice, allows students to understand and hear

2
which produces a beautiful tones. But some drawbacks is often has feedback from the speakers
and even though it provides a beautiful tone it can fix all student still need voice training and
therapy.
Technology facilitates learning which instructor is now creating learning experiences in a
traditional classroom setting and even through online course. Online homework, clickers and
survey are the type of technologies that support these goals According (Jas Hoon, 2014) clicker
technology is one of the most widely adopted communication systems in college classroom
environment. The clicker system involves two main components which is the receiver system and
the response drive. This allows the student to have their response to be embedded in the instructor
receiver system and in turn students are able to receive immediate feedback from the instructor
which reduces the feedback time between instructor and students. . It is seen that clickers have a
positive impact on the engagement, the clarity of the material, and stronger learning outcome.
One way I would use the clicker in a literature lesson where I would poll student to see if they
have full understanding of the story and allow students to engage in a peer review with them.
Another great tool is television and DVDs; they provide audio and visual skills. I would
use this tool in a pre-k and kindergarten class to allow children to sing along and move to the
music which also simulate the visual creative side. There are some DVD resources that can be
incorporated into the lesson. (de Vries, 2013) stated that studies shown that young children are
being exposed to music through varies types of devices and this type of learning is increasing in
the classroom with the use of iPods and MP3 players.
As one can see technology is evolving more and more each day and because of this
technology has increased students' ability to communicate. It offers and abundant of information
which available through the internet. Students are showing sign of advancement in the classroom.
The time of blackboards and textbook are now not the only resource for student to develop

student achievement. Technologies in the classroom provide many benefits not only for student
but teachers as well. It increases instructor comfort level of teaching, provides immediate
feedback between instructor and student and improving the knowledge and understanding of
technology and material.
