Antivibration Pads

Anti vibration pads are used to absorb/dampen the vibrations on the

enclosure. The vibrations caused due to movements of near by machines,
enclosures mounted near the generating stations, moving Cranes, seismic
zones etc., which cause vibrations to the mounting platform.
Generally 5 to15 mm thick anti vibration pads are used to curtail these
vibrations and to protect the enclosures and its mounting equipments from
damages.

Rittal standard practice:

1. Rittal worldwide is not providing these pads in any of the enclosures as
a standard.
2. The robust 9 fold structure protects the equipments and enclosure from
the vibrations to an extent.
3. Rittal enclosures for seismic applications are tested by the Indian
agencies (CPRI) without using these pads.
4. Rittal SO Plinths are bolted with the enclosures using spring washers
which take care of the vibrations.
Rittal does not recommend the usage of Anti Vibration Pads unless otherwise it is
specifically required based on the application as mentioned above.
