RE: Proposal for New innovation adoption

Date: December 10,2015

___________________________________________________________________________________

Purpose

The purpose for us sending out this proposal memo is to inform

all of the readers. That we should adopt this new UAV innovation that is
being led by the U.S. military at the time.

Issue

The issues we are having at present time with the UAVs we have
at the moment is that they do not provide the best detailed
reconnaissance, within tight quarters. Also the issue of the amount of
human casualties created through war operations. Advancements in this
technology could drastically eliminate the use or need of human life
being involved directly, or being put in harms way.

Brief Answer

The fix to this problem that, we have come up with is that we

should adapt the research of M.A.S.T., also known as micro autonomous
system technology is partnership between the Advanced Research Lab,
ten member institutes, eight sub-awardees, and other transitional
partners. Essentially this group is developing small machines to further

enhance our capabilities during numerous operations, as well as various

other innovations that will benefit society. This will include surveillance
and transportation capabilities as well. Loss of human lives during a
military operation has always been a factor of making this become a
problem. Without the knowledge of the certain geographical and urban
areas, missions are planned without adequate information that the
operation will be successful. With the increase in the technology we
have today there is little being done with these problems it took till just
recently for ARL to start this innovation research.
This is important for the primary and secondary audience due to
the reason that it affects those directly involved in overseeing the
projects and innovations being created. This innovation will affect the
secondary audience because if we are able to get this innovation and
implement it to our own, and get it functioning correct before the ARL
does; the company will be able to benefit it by getting the military
contract.

Tasks and Schedule

The following task are what we will be doing to produce the

progress report and our report for the drone M.A.S.T. innovation:

Meet as a group to talk about innovation (projected Oct. 27,2015)

Initial researching of the topic (start right away and projected to
be done by Nov 10,2015)
Meet as a group to talk about research (projected Nov. 11,2015)
Start writing proposal draft (Oct. 31,2015)
Finish and turn in proposal draft (Nov. 3, 2015)
Start writing progress report (Nov. 3, 2015)
Start of second session of researching of topic (Nov. 10, 2015)
Turn in progress report draft (Nov. 12, 2015)
Finish of second session of researching (Nov. 14, 2015)
Start analyzation of collected research (Nov. 14, 2015)
Finish analyzation of collected research (Nov. 16, 2015)
Start Report Draft (Nov. 16, 2015)
Turn in report draft (Nov. 24, 2015)

Experience
Winston Almelia
Since I was a little kid anything that had to do with aeronautics
interested me dearly. After the many years that aeronautics interested
me I have learned a lot about the field. Currently enrolled in engineering
classes to help my group with some of the engineering aspects.
Lindsey Steben
Lindsey is a former Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force
with over 7 years experience working directly with aircraft and aircraft
systems. He is currently enrolled in the Aerospace Engineering program
through the University of Texas at Arlington where he plans to get his
Bachelors Degree.
