Dear Donald Trump:
I am a resident of El Paso, TX which so happens to be along the border going into Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and
Im writing to express my concern and opinion on your future plans on immigration . Since the beginning of
your campaign for president you have created tension and enemies out of the Mexican people and
everything we stand for. On your website that is affiliated with your campaign you have 2 major points from
your immigration reform that would evidently desegregate all the population of Mexicans and create this
new promise land you proclaim that would make America great again.
With the 2 major points you have declared in your future plans for an immigration reform is beyond
comprehension. First statement being A nation without a border is not a nation, outlining your plan to
create a fearful and opaque wall across the southern border isolating outsiders into our country. This idea
portrays what the Soviet Union tried to accomplish with the berlin wall by isolating their people and ripping
them of their rights. Second statement declaring A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a
nation, summing up your idea that with the migration of Mexicans back to Mexico will improve the economy
as well as industry here in the U.S. This belittles your ideas as a true leader for our country proving that we
show no interest with any trader between our neighboring countries all while crippling our reputation.
Being born and raised in El Paso you find out that the people living here are focused on creating a new life for
themselves and contribute to this citys marvelous reputation. I know of n umerous people living here in El
Paso without proper documentation that go on with their days by making a living without causing any harm
or disruption to others here legally. Then there are those who do not have a place of residency and rely on
shelters or jump from house to house, this goes to show that if you follow through with your scandalous
plans and raise victorious as president it will be surely not be in your favor.
Its understandable to maintain focus on strengthening border security minimizing illegal immigrants which
has been an ongoing problem in the south western region of the United States. With this being said it can be
supported that of all the carnage that has occurred in the U.S since the beginning of the 21 st century has not
been at the hands of Mexican immigrants but of other religious groups.
Our community has been very cooperative with borderland security and to be subject gated to these biased
rules you plan on enforcing upon us which we feel obliged to deviate.
