Hayatabad, Peshawar. Subject: Property Tax for the year 2014-2015 Dear Sir, Please refer to your demand notice No.2424-wc for Rs. 10,800/- as last payment for the year ending 30.6.2015. In this connection it is stated that previously I had received your demand notice for Rs. 21,600/- for the year 2014-15 on 28.11.2014. In response to your notice my husband visited your office on 5.12.2014 along with written application (copy enclosed) wherein it was stated that the house since its construction in 1997 has been self occupied and none of its portion has ever been rented out as during the period since 1997 I received no notice to the effect that the house is on rent except the one received on 18.11.2014. It may also be added that the officer who handed over the demand notice to my husband on 28.11.2014 in my house was requested to inspect the house there and then to see for himself whether the upper portion is vacant or rented out but he showed his inability to do so at that time. Keeping in view the genuineness of my statement fresh demand notice was issued for the correct amount of Rs. 10,800/- by your good self on 5.12.2014 and the amount was deposited in the bank the same day (copy enclosed). It is to be added that at present the upper portion of the house has been occupied free of cost since 23.1.15 by my son Mr. Nouman Azam who after doing his Ph.D in software engineering from Canada has returned home and is working as Assistant professor in FAST, Hayatabad since 28.1.15.Keeping in view the actual position explained above it is requested to please withdraw the demand notice which has wrongly been issued without consulting the record and bring the record updated under intimation to the undersigned. Yours faithfully
