Kidnappings Solved or Unsolved
The recent kidnappings in Afghanistan have been terrible and police there
have been trying their

Hardest to understand why exactly this has been

happening so much. The big question is have the police been effective with bringing
these people home and stopping the kidnappings, making their people safe and not
scared to walk down a street. There are so many new things out and technology to
help these police investigate and find these people before they are harmed or
worse. These police have to find a way to stop this.
The police in Afghanistan do not work hard enough to stop this crime.
Kidnapping has happened three times in November alone. Early in November five
aid workers from the save the children group were kidnapped, the kidnappers,
possibly Taliban demanded the release of people in jail in exchange for the workers
life, but Taliban killed the hostages anyway. A week later male children in
Afghanistan were kidnapped for male-child prostitution, which in Afghanistan it is
called Bacha Baz. Later in November Taliban were sending gruesome messages to
people, with death threats, blackmail, and it caused a lot of fear throughout the
country. Police do not work hard enough at all, journalists Nordland Rod, and Jawad
Sukhanyer each said presidents answer was very inadequate , nothing was done,
and that it took the government 48 days to come to the families of the missing and
ask for descriptions and actually investigate this issue. The son of Ali Header was
kidnapped by gunpoint, He told Agency Tunis Afrique Press that the gunman

remains unidentified but he accuses his political opponents of being behind this
attack. These kidnappings are consistent, and that should show police have not
been able to maintain or stop them.
Militants storm airport, and they kill one of the engineers there and they
kidnap the other engineer named Bashir Ahmed, the attack happened in Pakistans
southwestern port city of Gwadar, an area in which Baloch insurgents operate but
no one claimed responsibility for the attack. That story alone shows how bad police
response to kidnapping is, even in a supposedly well-guarded place like the airport.
Two days later again possibly Taliban were kidnapping members of the Hazara
Ethnic group and Taliban beheaded them, they are not only kidnapping people but
they are also gruesomely murdering these victims.
The police are not working hard enough and punishment is not enough.
The punishment for the gruesome messages sent by Taliban, had no punishment
but constant fear in the victims. The punishment for the sexual exploitation of kids,
was never any major punishment. It took days until local police asked around and
asked family members about the kidnappings. Does this sound like kidnapping in
Afghanistan is that important to police right now? The work ethic and penalties for
other countries are very strong and strict. Rape is taken very serious and it is
maintained by police, also abuse was stopped very quickly in Afghanistan. Assault
and kidnapping are treated very different, police will stop assault fast, but
kidnapping has yet to be maintained in Afghanistan, kidnapping laws are very strict
in United States, Canada, and Europe. If laws in Afghanistan were as strongly
enforced kidnapping would be decreased by a serious amount, the work ethic for
this needs to increase before there are more kidnappings and gruesome murders in
Afghanistan the amount of fear is terrible. These civilians need security.

It is time for police in Afghanistan to change things around very quickly
and stop this problem quickly. Twelve Indian Fisherman were kidnapped and their
boat was stolen, Friday a possible terror attack was averted when a suspicious
fishing boat carrying explosives in sea was intercepted near Pakistan maritime
boundary by police, they were approximately 365 kilometers away from port bander
in Gujarat. Gruesome messages from Taliban, police have put the pieces together
and believe the message is similar to ISIS brutality. Kidnapping needs to be
stopped, and taken a lot more seriously.

I chose Afghanistan because this country has always interested

me, many things have bee going on in this country recently also with war, crimes,
and politically. My topic kidnapping came to me randomly after seeing all that has
recently been happening with kidnapping in Afghanistan. The struggles, difficulties
and success I dealt with during my research process was mostly struggling to find to
find more with these kidnappings and finding more responses on the kidnappings by
police. I was very successful with my paraphrasing of the research I found and what
exactly happened during this process. Overall the research process was not very
difficult and simple, my topic Kidnappings in Afghanistan brought a lot of
kidnappings and police research articles.
