Reflections of Annie Nelsons Blessed Life


Annie Elizabeth Nelson, born February 11, 1936 to the late Robert
and Annie Bernard in Glade Hills, Virginia. She entered into eternal
peace on January 3, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. She was surrounded by all
her loved ones at Mercy West Hospital.
Annie grew up in Virginia and later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in the
50s where she met and married Earl Nelson. To that union was
born four children; one son and three daughters.
Annie accepted the Lord as her savior and was baptized at Temper of
Hope under Elder James Sherman. Later she joined Bethel and then
Rescue Temple and went on to join the Pure Gospel Church of God
In Christ under the leadership of Bishop Elmer Brown.

Annie was preceded in death by her son, Earl Henderson Nelson;


parents Robert and Annie Bernard; brothers, Christopher, James,
and John Bernard. Annie was extremely loving and proud of her
grandchildren and they shared a special bond. She loved them
unconditionally.
She leaves to celebrate her life, legacy and memory: her loving
husband Earl Nelson; daughters, Annette (Ronald), Lisa (Mike)
Shields, Lynn (Kenny) Rutherford; six grandchildren, Dwan,
Maurice, Keniya, Brandie, Kenika, Kenyonna; five greatgrandchildren; one sister, Sallie Newbill; four sisters-in-law, and a
host of nieces and nephews.
