NOTES D'EXECUTION
Page 2
Jolle Landre.
PERFORMING INDICATIONS
Page 2
(l)Right hand pizz. "Play" as a fingered trmolo up and down th string using thumb and two oher fingers of th right hand.
(2) Push th bow "crescendo" right up to th iron part of th heel which results in a strong percussion effect.
(3) "Play" with three fingers of th left hand on th wood of th bow while continuing " n V col legno" with th right hand
in a to and fro "glissando" motion ail along th string. This results in a very percussive roll developing rich harmonies on
th open string.
Page 3
(4) For greater prcision in dynamics, thse "glissandi pizz" should be performed "quasi mandolina" with two fingers of th
left hand.
(5) Pizz with both hands ail along th neck, following th given dynamics.
Page 4
(6) On th open string D left hand pizz quite near th corresponding stopped D position and th following chord with th right
hand at th top of th neck which results in a diffrent tone color for th PP .
Careful attention should be given to th above performing techniques and in gnral to ail indications conceming dynamics, cuts or fermatas which should be very precisely observed.
