Kellyville today had a tough 2-0 victory over

Toongabbie. Goals either side of half-time from
Alex enough to take the three points.
A solid warm up had everybody primed to go from the
opening whistle. Plenty of movement across the park kept
possession in Kellyvilles favour. The one break Toonie
made fell to the Toonie strikers feet. Shotstopper Nolan
making a one on one save from 8 yards. This only
reinforced Kellyvilles resolve. They stayed patient,
dominating with the ball.
Toonie were keen to run, so Kellyville had to work
across the park....tracking runners, staying alive to possible
counter attacks.
A throw in to Vics feet a couple of minutes from the
break, saw him turn expertly in the box. The defender
caught out, tried to bring hime down - penalty. Alex

stepped up and finished in style. The half time whistle

blowing seconds later.
The first couple of minutes of the second half saw
Kellyville dominate with some excellent chances. Another
throw in to Vics feet, saw him produce another sharp turn
and again he was brought down - penalty #2.
This time Jaime stepped up....only to have the coach
get him to tuck his tail between his legs and leave it for
Alex. Alex again finishing sweetly.
Kellyville kept creating throughout the half, but this
game was more about defensive shape....Damien
marshalling the troops and earning the man of the match.
Call of the day must go to Jaimes wife telling Jaime
after the match (in front of the team) as he whinged about
not being able to take the penalty.....didnt they win by six
without you last week?!!!
