Chapter 7

Mullers Method:

Projects a parabola through 3 points

Both real and imaginary roots can be located

Problem:

Yields two roots corresponding to sign in the denominator

The sign that will result in the largest denominator will be chosen
Sign is chosen to agree with sign of b

Strategies for repetition:

If only real roots are being located, we choose the two original points that are
nearby the new root estimate, x3
If both real and imaginary roots are evaluated, a sequential approach is
employed. That is, x1,x2,x3 take the place of x0,x1,x2
