Overview of the implementation process of the daily census of inpatients to
support fluency of reporting hospital inpatient services (RL 3.1) in Hospital Paru

The aim of this study is 1) Identify standard operating procedures (SOP) daily
census of inpatients at Hospital Dr. Lung H. A. Rotinsulu Bandung. 2) Identify the
implementation process of the daily census of inpatient medical records at the
hospital Lung Dr. H. A. Rotinsulu Bandung. 3) Identify the factors that become a
problem in the implementation process of the daily census of hospitalization to
support the smooth reporting of hospital inpatient services (RL.3.1) in Lung
Hospital Dr. H. A. Rotinsulu Bandung. 4) Identify what is being done to address
the problems in the implementation process of the daily inpatient census in order
to support the reporting of home care services (RL.3.1) in Lung Hospital Dr. H. A.
Rotinsulu Bandung.
Data collection techniques in this research is by literature study, observation and
interviews. Populations studied were as many as 155 daily census form inpatients
taken in May 2015. And the authors took a sample of 155 forms. The techniques
and analysis used is descriptive method, that is by conducting research to
describe and formulate the data with respect to the facts, circumstances,
variables, a phenomenon that occurs at the time of the study. While the amount of
data that is retrieved is by using total sampling technique, because the authors
take data from the entire population. Once the data is collected according to the
study variables and then processed using descriptive narration (applied).
From the research, it was found by 61, 29% as many as 95 daily census forms
were incomplete and inaccurate on the number of samples 115 form. It is caused
by several factors: the name of admission or the patient was out of the room not
included medical record number, the daily census did not include a description of
patients who died, signature and name of the head light fills the room or officers
who daily census is not in the content, happens errors in charging the daily
inpatient census form, data processing systems and tools used are still using
manual systems.
The conclusion from this study that the implementation process of the daily
inpatient census
errors still occur resulting in the completeness and accuracy of data submitted to
the installation of medical records so the effect on the reporting of hospitalization.
