You can find a lot of valuable and useful information on my website. The calendar is the most important piece. I post
homework assignments daily, upcoming quiz and test dates, and occasionally post answer keys and notes on the calendar. You can
add the calendar to your own if you have a gmail account. There is a forum to discuss problems with your peers as and links to
Khan Academy videos and some of my videos (Pre-Calculus topics). Please take advantage of the website!

Expectations and Procedures:

In order for all of us to work together to make this a positive year, I feel it is important for you to be aware of my expectations and
procedures. They are as follows:
1. BE READY. Students are to be in their seats when the bell rings and for the first and last 10 minutes of class.
2. BE RESPONSIBLE. I expect all students to bring their notebooks, paper, pencils, calculator, and homework to class
every day.
3. BE RESPECTFUL. There will be daily discussion and activities in class, thus the effectiveness of this class is dependent
upon students' RESPECT for each other, for classroom materials, and for me as their teacher.
4. Tests will be announced at least two days in advance; therefore, anyone missing only the day before the test (review) will
be expected to take the test on the scheduled day. Make-up tests will be scheduled on an individual basis and must be
made up within one week from the day it is given. No tests will be made-up during the class period.
5. If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to determine what work was missed, complete it, and turn it in to me.
Students can copy notes from a peer and find additional absent work in the absent bin.
6. I will be available for extra help during Cougar Time, Tuesdays in Room 2612, or by appointment.
7. There will be no cell phone use in my classroom. Cell phones need to be off and away or they will be taken up by me.
Attendance/Make-up work
It is very important that you be in class every day. When absences occur, it is your responsibility to get the notes and assignments
missed. It is your responsibility to keep up with all assignments. No late work is accepted.
Homework cannot be made up. Homework will be marked exempt for excused absences.
Tests and quizzes will need to be made up within one week from the day it is given. All tests and quizzes not made up
in the allotted time will be given a 0.
