HULLAH TIMES
Lives Redefined

Praises and Prayer Requests

Praise God for how He worked in students lives and the lives of the people in
Denver during DCC.
Pray for our family to get back into
healthy rhythms and for us to balance our
time well as we start a new semester.
Pray for students to return to campus with
the same vulnerability in relationships and
zeal for the gospel that they experienced
at DCC.

Hundreds of students attended DCC!

We saw the world a certain way

and then we met Jesus. And everything changed. He redefines our
identity and calls us friend. Jesus
changes how we look at the
world. He redefines our relationships with one another. As we
grow in Christ the redefining never
ends. The Denver Christmas Conference (DCC) is designed to be a
time for students from Colorado,
Nebraska, New Mexico, Kansas,
Missouri, and Wyoming to refocus
their hearts and minds on Jesus
and his message of hope, restoration, and forgiveness. Our theme
for this years conference was Redefine. Jesus entered this world to
redefine everything about humanity how we relate to our world
and how we relate to God. One of
the best things about DCC is the
opportunity to see changed lives
as 1000 students and Cru staff go
into the heart of Denver to share
the gospel. This year we specifically desired to minister to the 6,000+
homeless
people
scattered
throughout Denver to meet both
the physical and spiritual needs.
As one can imagine, it was a
humbling time and in most cases
the lives that were changed were
our own. One changed life was
Rachels. Last year at DCC Rachel
was not excited about the day of
faith because evangelism frightens
her. During that day she spent

most of the time (last year) not

participating. This year, she was
asked to be a small group leader
but hesitated because she knew
she would have to lead out in the

day of faith. The night before the
Day of Faith she spent time in
prayer asking the Lord to give her
excitement for evangelism. She
woke up Wednesday morning
excited and eager for the day.
Rachel and her small group loved
the faith experience and she did
not shy away from evangelism.
She is excited to get back to
campus and make evangelism
more of a norm. The day of faith is
more than an experience. It is an
opportunity to trust God in new
ways. It redefines our priorities, our
purposes, and our values. While
we barely put a dent into the
enormous needs in the city, what
did occur was our ongoing transformation
from
being
selfcentered believers into Christcentered laborers.

We are honored to serve alongside you in

reaching the world for Christ! Thank you
for making it possible for us to tell the future generations about Jesus!
