Internship

This internship involved eight weeks of working alongside nationally certified
interpreters who provided one on one mentoring about a variety of classroom topics.
Both observation and hands on interpreting were incorporated into this internship.

This internship was eight weeks in length and provided exposure to interpreting in a
corporate environment. Opportunities included observing staff interpreters as well as
hands on interpreting during meetings including tech support, marketing, and one
on ones.
VRS Interpreting Institute

This intensive twelve week internship include classes in interpreting methods, weekly
one on one meetings with language mentors, as well as over 150 hours of hands on
interpreting experience in a wide range of settings.

Duties include using voice recognition software and typing skills to assist Deaf
or Hard of Hearing customers with communication by providing captions for
their telephone calls.
ASL Tutor

Provided ASL tutoring to a high school student. Lessons covered basic ASL
