These games challenge students to create addition equations
to fit the following patterns.

Snip Snap Alligators

Addition Game 1

Make

e.g. 4+3=7 or

e.g. 7+8=15

a game for 2 players

Need: Counters to cover numbers
Help the alligators eat the numbers. Players take turns to cover the numbers to make an addition equation to fit
one of the patterns in the center of the board, e.g. on a turn a player could cover 5, 3 and 8 for 5+3=8 or
6, 7, 1 and 3 for 6+7=13. Once a number is covered it stays covered. The last to make a complete equation wins.

Need: Counters to cover numbers
Help the alligators eat the numbers. Players take turns to cover the numbers to make an addition equation, to fit
the pattern in the center of the board, e.g. on a turn a player could cover 2, 5, 8, 3 and 3 for 25+8=33.
Once a number is covered it remains covered. The last player to cover a complete equation is the winner.
