In my country There are many activities that kids are involved in recycling. Below
links are some examples: preparing costumes from recycling materials, building
statues from pet bottles, taking the recycles from the grownups and giving them tree

There are school program about recycling, and they provide separate bins for
recyclable items. Many people recycle at home as well. In some cities, the trash

Kids are involved in recycling only in high-class, private schools and kindergartens.
Some other kids are from poor areas are working as garbage collectors and recycling
the collected garbage. Child labor is illegal but is very much a fact as well.

Recycling is taught in school about the importance of recycling and we reinforce that
at home.

They learn about the damage of wates and garbage for the environment. There are
contests for schools to collect the largest amount of un-used and out of date
medicines or other specific kinds of wates that people do not usually recicle. There
are programs at school to choose an environmental engineer who will teach his/her
colleagues about recicling, environmental danger, ... There are activities organized by
the city council to make the kids aware of the dangers of the wates and encourage
them to recicle. This may include visits to some museums or expositions about the
subject.
In China, I don't think kids are involved in recycling. But every Spring and Autumn,
students from primary school and middle school will be organized to help

Kids are usually not involved in large recycling projects. The central government has
recently started a national campaign to keep the country clean, known as "Swach
Bharat Abhiyaan". There is a lot more which needs to be done for recycling. There is
no compulsion or practical ways for individuals to segregate thrash and complete the
chain of recycling. A large section of society is aware about recycling, but seldom do
it because of practical challenges.
At the school they are asked to bring PET bottles and the grade bringing more gets a
recognition. The collected PET is sold and the money is used as an income for the
school.

In School, kids learn the importance of separate trash. They participate in campaigns
of reuse and recycle. The government has educational programs too.

Kids are not that much involved in recycling in our country. Only a few are involved.
Unfortunately, children are not involved in recycling activities! However, there are a
few pilot projects in public places (mainly for plastics). We hope that these projects
will be successful so that they can be more funding and support from both the
government and private sectors! The local brewery also collects glass beer bottles.
Local environmental groups are actively lobbying for a ban on Styrofoam, some
plastic bottles, cash deposits for bottles, and incentives for recycling.
There is a day called Earth Day here in the U.S.A. and that is where a bunch of kids
go out and pick up garbage (not necessarily garbage, but mostly recycling) and they
throw it all out into bins.
I am sorry. I do not have this information. My guess is most of the places kids are not
involved. Maybe some (few) schools in the cities teach kids about recycling. That's
really bad. I know big cities have some kind of recycling program nearby landfills and
workers to properly separate some trash. But it is very basic yet, in my opinion.

They reuse and upcycle products that they've used at home for school projects. Many
schools, including mine, have recycling and environmental clubs who set up the bins
and clean the recycled material. My FRC team (FRC 1923, the MidKnight Inventors)
reuses the scrap metal we have in prototyping and building side projects. We also
donate the extra metal to our FTC teams and they use it on their robots to compete.
Informative sessions during classes...some examples in practice...but in my country it
is not still serious and organized...obligatory activity
The children from my daughter school are involved in recycling because they
participated at all the green activities like: "We save the world from trash (bottles,
plastics, metal things...)"; "We fight for a clean town". Recycling the papers because
kits learn save the trees from forest. They plants new trees, clean the special place
where the kids playing.

Some educational programs exist for collecting e.g. plastic bottle caps and awards
are given to schools achieving the biggest number.

I do not know, as I was upbrought in another country, which is not the UK.
There many competitions in kindergartens and also in elementary schools related to
recycling, namely of paper and plastic...
