As a result of this lesson, students will be able to:

Actively demonstrate the correct technique for chest, shoulder and bounce passes

Being able to perform passes in a game situation


Teachers Prior Preparation/Organisation:
- Teachers are to set out enough cones and netballs
for students to work in partners.
- The area that the class will be working in must be
big enough for partners to have enough space
between each other and allowing them to bounce
the ball on that particular surface.

Provision for students at educational risk:


- Students who are unable to participate in
lesson due to injury or sickness can be
involved with the collecting of the cones and
netballs.

Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key Questions):


- Students start off in partners and are spread out across the netball
court or available area.
- Going back and forth until the teacher says stop, students
demonstrate chest passes, shoulder passes and bounce passes.

Once students feel confident in performing these passes they move


onto a competition setting

All partners start at the same time and the point of this exercise is to
not let the ball touch the ground

As each ball is caught one partner at a time takes a step back, if the
ball is dropped then one-person steps forward.

They practice this exercise for all three passes covered in the lesson.

2 people positioned on either side of the center court on the


transverse lines
Rest of the class are positioned on the side lines
They must try and run to the other side without getting tagged by the
ball which is rolled across the court
As people get out they help with tagging the others
To set up a challenge add more balls as less people are in

appropriate places
