Differences in Parenting Style among Drug

Addicts and Non-Drug Addicts.

The present study was conducted to analyze the Differences in

parenting styles among Drug Addict and Non-addict in Hyderabad city. The
sample was comprised of 30 Male participants i.e. (15) drug addict from
different hospitals C.J. Hospital Hydrabad, Karachi Psychiatric hospital
Hydrabad Branch, also from effected area’s such as Phattak, Hydrabad
City and (15) Non-addict from different department of Sindh university.
Two questionnaires were administered namely Personal information
questionnaire and parental authority questionnaire. The age range of
addicts and non-addicts was 26 and 24 years respectively. The result has
shown that. Parental attitude affect the child as addicts score their parents high
on permissive and authoritarian subscales then non-addicts.
