STEM DESIGN & PHOTOGRAPHY is an extension to the Design and Art 1 classes. Students
will be building on the skills learned in these classes and take innovation to the next level. They will
further develop 21st century skills and explore visual communication through photography and
design. Collaboration, creative and critical thinking will be essential components to the class
throughout the semester. Students will have photo shoot assignments that will be completed at
home throughout the semester. Cameras will need to be brought to class daily for in-class photo
shoots and assignments.

This class is semester-long and meets every day.

TECHNOLOGY
Each student will receive a Macbook Air through the STEM program. This technology belongs to the
school and should be used for school purposes only. If students abuse their device they may not be
able to use it in class. CCHS is a part of the Bring Your Own Technology initiative. Students will be
allowed to use their personal device in class when permitted by the teacher.

OUR CLASS ONLINE

We will be using Canvas daily in class. This is a Learning Management System where you will find
information about classwork, projects, homework, rubrics, and grades. Most of your work will be
turned in through this website.

COPYRIGHT

Unless otherwise stated through project requirements, students should only turn in photographs and
images that have been created by them. Students are expected to follow the Cabarrus County
Academic Integrity Policy.
