Foreword

BTS3900 is the fourth generation base station

developed by Huawei. It features a multi-mode
modular design and supports multiple working
modes: GSM(GO) mode, UMTS(UO) mode ,LTE(LO)
mode ,GSM+UMTS(GU) dual modes, GSM+LTE(GL)
dual modes, UMTS+LTE(UL) dual modes through
different software configuration. Two BBU3900s can
be interconnected to support GSM/UMTS/LTE triplemode operation

Subrack Numbering

Subrack numbers for 3900 series base stations

In physical cabinets, physical subracks (such as

BBU3900, RFU) exist at a fixed place

Some optional peripheral devices (such as EMS, GPS

receiver) can be configured in an independent cabinet
for consistency and expansibility

The numbering rules of the subrack can apply each

type of cabinet. Users cannot define the fixed subrack
numbers, but can define the numbers of the extension
subracks
