ENROLLMENT OPTIONS

ENROLLMENT DECISION IS FINAL AND CANNOT BE CHANGED.

Option B:

Enroll for both high school and college credit.

Student is not responsible for course expenses through a public institution.

Students are responsible for their own transportation and any

related expenses under both options.
Credits may be transferred to other institutions.

COURSES AND SCHEDULING

Formula to determine eligible amount of college credits:
High School credits x 3. Subtract result from 30.
Students may enroll in more than one college/university.
Students should review the course catalog at the institution of interest.
For students taking courses AT the college, students must meet with
their high school counselor once college courses are scheduled to
arrange their high school courses accordingly.
Students are not to remain in the high school building when high
school classes are not scheduled.
College Credit Plus Courses offered at GHS:

Composition I

Composition II

Physical Geology

Intermediate Spanish I (Spanish III here at GHS)

Intermediate Spanish II (Spanish IV here at GHS)

GRADE POINT AVERAGE AND CREDITS

Academic core courses at the college will use the same

weighted scale as Honors and Advanced courses at
GHS.

College grades will be factored into the high school GPA.

Conversion of credit:
3-5 semester hour college course = 1.0 high school credit
1-2 semester hour college course = 0.50 high school credit

Student athletes must make sure they are enrolled in 5

credits at all times.

CONSEQUENCES OF FAILING A COURSE

Student is responsible for reimbursing the school district
for all expenses under Option B.
The grade will be calculated into the high school GPA. This
may impact eligibility for sports.
This includes courses receiving a failing grade, a Withdraw
Fail, or an Incomplete.
Students will not receive an official transcript or a high
school diploma until all expenses are reimbursed.
All GHS graduation requirements must still be met.
