1 The corks should effectively prevent any through currents of air, and unless one part of
the tube is warmer than another, convection currents should not occur.
2 Ammonia from the more concentrated source will diffuse more rapidly than that from
the weak source. This is particularly noticeable in the first 5 minutes. In the final 5
minutes, the rates may be very similar
