This Week:
During our shared reading time, we finished up short vowels and
word families (we worked on og and ug)! We spent Tuesday
reading about Groundhogs Day! I hope your child came home to
tell you their prediction AND what really happened with Phil! For
the remainder of the week we read great books that fused
literature with math concepts. For example, we read The
Doorbell Rang and discussed odd and even numbers, division and
fractions! WOW!
For our next animal in theme, we will be learning all about SHEEP!
I am super excited to begin a new animal. The pigs took us quite
a long time with the holidays in December!. We will be working with
a Can, Have, Are chart instead of a KWL this time around!
