Abstract

This experiment is based on a single pump performance, the main objective from this
experiment is to understand the characteristics of single pump operation with variable flow
rate and pump speeds. From this experiment various comparison has been conducted between
the flow rate, pump speed, efficiency and pump speed. This comparison is to show that if one
is dependent on the other. From the experiment it has been shown that when the flow rate of
the liquid increases when the pump speed increases, which also leads to a lower efficiency,
and thus a sharp decrease of the pump head when the pump speed increases. This experiment
is a major of learning, this is because it teaches us about the selection of the pipe.
