IusedtodeploytheagentsviathefullinstallationscriptusingtheX11menuinstaller.However,my
recentsystembuildshaveconflictswiththefullHPPSPinstallation(NICdriverconflicts).HPincludes
unnecessarypackages,soIwantedtofindawaytostreamlinetheinstallationbutretainallofthe
neededpackages.
Sincethen,I'vehadtocustomizetheinstallation.Ialsodecidedtotakethetimetostartusingthesilent
installoptionandpreseedmySNMPconfiguration.Thisisaccomplishedbymodifyingthepackage
contentsstanzainthebp000844.xmlfilecontainedinthePSPdistribution.TheSNMPinformationgoes
intoaninputfile,e.g."rhel_psp_input.cfg".
Inpractice,theinstallationstepsaresimplifiedto"./hpsum/s/inputfilerhel_psp_input.cfg",run
manuallyorviaakickstartpostscript.
