Sve brojive imenice koje su u jednini moraju imati neki lan!

1) UPOTREBA NEODREENOG LANA : A / AN
- Samo ispred brojivih imenica u jednini:
- kada neto prvi put pominjemo. Ex: There was a man outside my house. The man looked at me.
- kada osoba kojoj govorimo ne zna konkretno na ta(na koga) mislimo. Ex: Tom sat down on a chair. (ne znamo na
koju stolicu)
- ispred rei MEAL. Ex: We had a meal in a restaurant.
- uz nazive obroka (BREAKFAST/ LUNCH/ DINNER) kada ispred njih stoji pridev. Ex: That was a very nice lunch.
- uz razlomke: a half (polovina), a third (treina)
- uz zanimanja. Ex: He is a doctor.
- uz izraz THERE IS/ THERE WAS. Ex: There is a computer in my classroom.

2) DEFINITE ARTICLE/ ODREENI LAN : THE

USAGE/ UPOTREBA

Kada mislimo na neto ili nekog odreenog, a ne

uopteno.
Ex: Children learn a lot from playing. (=uopteno).
We took the children to the zoo. (= odreena grupa dece)

Kada neto drugi,trei... put pominjemo. Ex: There was

a man an outside my house. The man looked at me.

Kada je jasno na koga ili na ta mislimo tj kada se

govori o odreenom licu, stvari ili pojmu:
Ex: The postman was late this morning. (=na uobiajeni
potar)

OMISSION/ IZOSTAVLJANJE

Kada saoptavamo uoptena miljenja/ stavove.

Ex: I love flowers. (Not the flowers)

Uz imena dana, meseci i godinjih doba.

Ex: Ill come by Monday.

Uz apstraktne imenice. Ex: Beauty doesnt last forever.

Uz gradivne imenice. Ex: The table is made of wood.

Kada govorimo o vrsti biljke, ivotinje itd koristimo

imenicu u mnoini bez lana.
Ex: Roses are my favourite flowers.

Uz imena osoba.
