Christian Mitchell has led the fight to reform the way police interact with people
and to get illegal guns off of our streets.

The police must be a partner with the community in getting illegal guns
off of our streets. Christian Mitchell has passed legislation to make police more
accountable to us.
Christian co-sponsored the law to expand body camera use for police
officers, and to ensure independent investigations when an officer has been
involved in a persons death. (99th GA: SB 1304, PA 99-0352)
He co-sponsored the law to require criminal background checks for private handgun
sales, working to get illegal guns off of our streets. And he continues to press for the

Christian is committed to ending the fear that grips our community and
reversing the tide of violence and injustice. Although we have a long way to
go, Christian will never stop working toward justice and peace.
