Report Extra Credit Guidelines

IMPORTANT: Extra credit points will only be give IF basic requirements are all met. So it is
most important to concentrate on doing a thorough job on the basic requirements. Dont rush
through the basic requirements just to get started on the extra credit part. You could end up doing
3 or 4 extra credit items and end up without any extra pointsyou dont want that to happen!

IMPORTANT: In order to begin on extra credit, you must print out or email your basic paper to
the teacher. You may begin extra credit after you get an approval signature by the teacher in your
agenda.

IMPORTANT: Although this is YOUR paper and you must do the revising and typing yourself, it is
okay to use your mom and dad as a reasonable resource. This is especially true to make sure you
have not made grammar, spelling, or punctuation mistakes. (YOU must still do all the fixingand it
still needs to be clear that you did the writing.) Make sure you have carefully checked your basic
paper for any errors before starting on extra credit.

KEEP IN MIND: It is possible to get up to a 5 without extra credit. This happens when you spend
a lot of time making sure that your paragraphs are well written and have no errors. (In fact, extra
effort on the writing alone can earn you extra credit points.) A grade of 6 requires a significant
amount of extra credit points.

FYI: How much extra credit points you get for any one item depends on the effort you put into it.
