Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
As a new teacher it can be difficult to be a part of school committees. It takes a while to get used to the routine of a new
a school and coworkers, so it is easy to focus on the curriculum, district assessments, and professional responsibilities
established by the school district. I am very lucky that I was asked to be a part of the Technology Cadre committee for
Anderson Elementary as one of the 3rd grade representatives. I am able to contribute to efforts to achieve district and
building goals for technology implementation inside the classroom.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better)
Being a member of the Technology Cadre committee I am responsible to provide technology information to my 3 rd grade
team members. Our committee meets once a month to discuss technology in our building including new education apps
for our chrome books, technology standards for each grade level, and how we can teach other teachers new and
innovating ways to use technology in the classroom. I am very proud and excited to be a part of this committee. I am
always looking to see what new technology tool or resource I can use with my students. Our goal this year is to put in
place our technology standards for each grade level, and getting another chrome book cart for each grade level. I am
going to continue to be a part of this committee to improve and achieve district and building technology goals.
